Raising Muslim Daughters

Information and resources helpful to those raising daughters

Purpose of this Site

A large household and one more on the way. My house was not up to par by my standards--- it definitely was not orderly.  I dealt with it for several months and one day things clicked and I decided to take action. I knew from the past that whenever I did get a household schedule together, things did run more efficiently,

not perfectly, but much better.

So I decided to get serious about organizing our life from housekeeping to improving our practice and understanding of the deen of Islam.

My overall first goal was to get the housekeeping in order, for its hard for us to concentrate on other things with a disorderly house.

My first mission was to create a household notebook or "control journal" as called by the Flylady. I didn't want my daughters to have to start from scratch someday (or myself when I ever need to reorganize) so I decided to set up this website to have everything that I needed in one place. Setting up the notebook is more than just collecting forms and putting them in a binder.  I made it a project and tackle one section at a time, organizing and scheduling as I go along.

I thought the information and forms I collected or made may be handy for other homemakers as well.  I am just in the beginning stages of my major organization so it will take me some time to accomplish all that I set out. The beginning information and resources will be basic for really any household and as things begin to get more organized, insha Allah, I will have more Islamic based resources.

This site is aimed at providing tips, activities, and motivation especially for the Muslimah homemaker as she has many roles: slave of Allah, wife, woman, mother, teacher, housekeeper, cook. My ultimate goal is to provide resources that help the Muslimah carry out all these important roles more efficiently for the sake of Allah.
